Yeah, but if they have defenses left standing then it results in a tie and you get nothing.

Right - But attacking them like that also weakens or destroys their defenses, correct?
This is shit....
I need to research MORE astrophysics, it's already at level 2 - "With an astrophysics research module, ships can undertake long expeditions. Every second level of this technology will allow you to colonize an extra planet." Every SECOND level of this technology will allow you to colonize and extra planet - And I still cant... Do I have to get it to FOUR?

Destroyed defensive units have a 50% chance to "rebuild" after the combat is done. So yes it can weaken the defenses.
If I remember right, you basically go 6 combat rounds and whatever is left at the end determines a Win, Loss or Draw I.E. You attack with 7 cruisers versus 20 light lasers. After 6 rounds there's 0 light lasers - this would be a win. If all the cruisers are destroyed that's a loss. If there's not enough damage output from both offense and defense in the 6 rounds and there's units left standing on both sides, it's a draw.
You have to completely destroy all of their defenses in 6 rounds before you are considered the winner. That's why having a balanced fleet is important -- some ships are better for taking on certain types of defensive units (known as Rapidfire) but that's a conversation left for another topic.

Level 3 will let you have a total of 3 planets.

Which positions are you choosing? On Level 2, you can only colonize on positions 4-12. It isn't until you reach Level 4,6, and 8 that you can choose a higher or lower planet position.
Thanks for the help you guys - I really think at this point, the game hates me.
It is telling me I need a colony ship to colonize a planet, however I definitely have one. Just a single one though. I'll figure this out, I appreciate the help!
Because I'm not a faggot like broken.
LOL he thinks I only have one planet.
От каждого по способностям, каждому по потребностям
Got my second planet now, feels good man.
Now to get the Recycler! Time to clean up the environment!!!
This same shit happened when I first attacked an active player. Minutes before my fleets hit, they joined the alliance and demanded I recall my ships. I told them to go fuck themselves, then attacked them again just for lulz.

Is that so?
Because I'm almost positive I have a rule somewhere that says not to attack any members of NGS unless given specific say to do so.
On a related note: PSP has been removed and all of this talk is now over. He was going to be removed at some point anyways, but at least I have a legit reason now.
For the love of god, I finally get back past 5,000 points and I am about to get attacked again. So here's the deal I will repost with information about his fleet when he attacks, bare in mind that he is in an alliance with 6 other people but they are ranked 32 overall.

I ended up losing about 40 solar satellites and about 700 resources total (Not the 300,000 he could have). I ended up spending a bunch that I couldn't transfer but now I need to get back on my satellites but I am probably going to invest alot into solar plants.
Also he only attacked me with 45 Large Cargo (lol) and 5 Battleships.
Why couldn't PSP be over 5K? Think of how much fun we could of had together.

They were being whiny little bitches about the whole thing. They deserved it.
But if they ever come here asking for the <2000 resources I took from them, I'll be more than happy to give it back, as long as they're not bitchy about it.
So much fucking drama. The game is much more fun without it, tbh.

You're not the one who has to deal with it, I don't see what you're complaining about.
Confirming that I applied.
Let's rock.

I'm sorry.
Bahaha.
PSP, can you stop posting in this thread please? We don't need/want any more of your really sad, fabricated Internet vendetta-isms. You need not reply to this. Thanks.
PSP's little butthole is mine once he crosses the 5K threshold and is thrown out of NATO. But once he's out I'll issue a little bounty to liven things up.

Hell, I've never even been probed by anyone.
Oh hey guys, I'm back. You're all drama queens. K bye.

What eveeeeer
Oh and I have a question. Say I accidentally sent ships to attack the wrong coordinates of a guy, realized it about 10 minutes before the ships arrived and turned them back. Will the guy who was being targeted even know that my ships were on their way?

Yes, I even get a warning when someone sends a probe to visit me.
We could test this though, send out an attack fleet and recall right away, I'll let you know what I got.

I never sent a probe to the guy though. What happened was that I probed someone else in the same galaxy, and just put in the wrong number when I put in the coordinates. But I'll send an attack fleet and withdraw to you. Let me know.
