I love how they aren't just taking the map and changing the graphics on it. They're like whole new levels with the same perfect map layout.

Oh sick. BF3 is coming out right when I turn 18.
It will be the best, birthday gift, EVAR!

This, but really, what modern high budget game doesn't do that now?
I'm going to do my best to get a job this summer and save up money to build my own PC just for Battlefield 3. Either this game is over hyped, or it's just as awesome as they say it's going to be.

Sucks to be a console peasant for this because from what I've read, PC master race will get 64 players in one game and larger maps while console only gets either 32 or 24 and reduced maps

The stuff will be on the disk, or at least it will be included in an update on release. Those pre-order things will just be unlocking codes.

I cannot wait to let this game have sex with me and my new computer. Got some serious new hardware and software and I might even get a better internet connection (though not needed) to make the enjoyment of playing what is surely to be my all-time favorite game. I played BF2 daily years ago, and i'm beyond stoked for this beast. I also welcome it even more surely as my dislike for CoD has continued to grow ever since Modern Warfare 1 was released.
One thing I hope Battlefield 3 does is have games where people of similar rank ranges play with each other, rather than have truckloads of games where newbies and casual players get preyed upon by veterans and experts. I've noticed that in Bad Company 2, many cases you'll have stacked teams where level 50s just prey upon the team of lower ranked players round after round, and its actually rare you find a truly balanced game.
I hate this feeling that if I don't play the game all day every day from the moment it comes out and play absolutely nothing else, I'm going to end up falling and then get my ass handed to me.
Don't pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men.
BF3 tank mission "The Thunder Run", as seen on E3
Also, here's the first multiplayer footage shown, "Operation Métro".

it looks so fucking beautiful.
PC master race all the way
It's funny because PC gamers are probably gonna pay 5x more than the actual game because they have to power up their PC's.

Its funny because you are probably posting from a pc anyways which was a separate cost from a console. So you are probably in the hole as much, if not more than a pc player. Pc all the way. Better gaming experience, more functionality, less 12 year olds. Awwwww yeeeeah. This game was built ground up for the pc, and the experience will be so much more on the pc than on any crap console wich will be out dated in the next couple years anyways.

The game looking slightly better won't make me buy a better PC.
I built a new pc at the cost of about $1500 just for this game, and everything i've seen...it's well worth it.

According to a number of interviews with DICE, the game is being heavily watered down for consoles. The maps will be slightly smaller, the borders pushed back, and in general just less of everything. They are staying true to those that play the game on PC due to Battlefield 2 fitting quite snugly with the PC community, so we will see more and get more for our buck.
No doubt the game will be amazing no matter what you play it on, but if you got a high performance PC then the best place to play BF3 won't be on the consoles!

Why do games keep appearing on that tool's show? Fuck, I hate Jimmy Fallon.
The vaulting looks way too repetitive and the animation is awkward.

I'm absolutely pissed that he got to play it before me.

Yeah, and did you here? Leaves go through the ground!
Can you believe that? It's an outrage to all gamers.

There's a part in the video where you can see another player's animation snap to a different one.

But you know, graphics and aesthetics don't matter in games.
I won't be getting it on PC because mine is shit. I really don't think the console version is going to be too much worse. Bad Company 2 is fine right now.
Oh oh oh and I don't see the big difference between 30 and 60 FPS. Crysis 2 ran on consoles at 30FPS and it was still great.
Here's a comparison of 15FPS - 30FPS - 60FPS.
Of course if I had the PC power to run it, I would choose the PC version.
am i the only one who thinks this game is going to be a huge step down from bad company 2?
remember 2009 when i said mw2 is going to suck and everyone said i was a troll, just sayin'.
bf3 is going to suck.
Battlefield 1 was okay
Battlefield 2, to me, sucked
Battlefield 3 needs to be at least half good or any good
( or I'm gonna shoot maself )
All I can say for this game is meh...
In terms of quality it definitely sends mw3 packing but honestly- its completely generic fps vs slightly less generic fps. The single player looked way to scripted for my tastes.
The entire concept of "grit and realism" has grown more stale to me than even the most watered down knock knock joke. Upon bf3's release we can at least reach a forte of what can be done in this sub-genre and game designers can get out of their emo/darkmetal phase and build games with some depth and creativity again.
