I would just like to take a moment to say that I love the Kill Bill superbanners we have been running on the front page - they completely match the aesthetic of the site! It is refreshing to run ads for something that is actually a perfect match for the NG users, rather than the typical bouncing / flashing / annoying banners.
And no one has to pay me to plug Kill Bill - it's one of the coolest movies ever made. I just picked up the DVD, and will definitely be seeing Kill Bill 2 in theatres this weekend. I'll reiterate, I WASN'T paid to make this plug. :)
Sorry, I just had to gush... In other news - NGMag has had a successful launch and is building momentum! Right now what we really need is writers with some serious journalism skills. We want to maintain a certain level of quality for the articles that are published to NGMag - the best way to get the job is to be proactive and send us a sample we can actually post to NGMag. If we post it, you will likely get access to continue posting future articles directly to the site, on your own!
We are also looking for people who can give a good interview - I'm talking in-debth explorations into the heads of some of our favorite artists. Additionally, we are looking for people who really have their pulse on the NG community. People who can expose some really juicy tidbits about what users are up to. There are plenty of stories and scandals to expose - if you think you know some, give it a shot by writing an article! You can email your stories / interviews to wade@newgrounds.com, and he will keep track of submissions. You should put "NGMag" in your subject, so the submissions are easier to track (you know how much spam we get - it is easy to overlook bland subject lines).
Many thanks to Stamper and James, for all the time they have put into building the new NGMag, as well as the new front page design! We have simplified the sign-up form, so that registering is easier than ever. If you aren't already a registered user, sign up today - it's free!
