So I'm planning on writing up a series of tutorials and examples for some common things that I see people asking about a lot. Anyone got any ideas? I want to start off with maybe a basic platform or 8 direction game and slowly add on more complicated things that I feel would be helpful to know. Maybe even a step by step on how to make an RPG engine? If anybody has some requests post them here and I'd be glad to work them in or just make seperate tutorials for them.

Although there are already tutorials out there that cover them, I think Alterable Values, Strings, and Flags are super important for moving your game from basic to more advanced!

Definitely! I think what I'm going to do first is make a tutorial on how to create a shoot em up platformer for new users to gradually introduce new things and techniques for certain things. Pretty much a cooler version of the Choco Break tutorial haha. Maybe even expand it to include some advanced stuff like custom platform movement, 360 degree shooting, enemy AI, etc. Kind of like a large project to teach new users a little more than a basic bat and ball game.
I would love an extensionless pathfinding tutorial.

Platformer, primarily, but top down would be wonderful, too.

not sure about the ng edition but if you go to the properties of the layers you just need to change the scrolling options. (sometimes the layers tool starts hidden)
