I've got this so far:
Arrow Keys to move
A to jump
The "character" respawns if it falls out of the screen, so test it as much as you want :p
Also, the platforms and stuff were made by me. I know how to use Gimp but I wanted to make it pixelish.

I'm having some trouble:

Shooting projectiles:
- Animation issue while shooting projectiles when the character is looking to the left.
- Projectiles shoot at random directions instead of according to the character's.

Platforms:
- If the character hits a platform from below it will stop in the middle of the air and fall.

A to jump
S to shoot
Arrow Keys to move.

Are you sure you have the platforms set as "platform"? Click on "Runtime" for the backdrop you have as your platform, and make sure you have "Platform" as the obstacle type instead of "Obstacle"

Here it is.
Also:

UPDATE:
New Player + animations
Shooting ability
An enemy (Yes, just one)
3 lives
Death screen (wait 5 seconds to go back)
Higher jump strenght

Known Issues:
Shooting does not respect the players direction.
The enemy seems to be too fast.
When the player hits a platform from below he/she will stop in the middle of the air and fall.
Some random moves when the player hits a side of the platforms.
Death screen appears only once.

I I'm having to issues with my flash.

one- when I try to post it to newgrounds the sound is non existent

two- Is it possible to make a side scroll-er and have the screen move relative to your character?
I would much rather do that than make 50 frames per level.

I've been playing around with TGF2 recently, and I was wondering what can MMF2 do (besides alpha and extensions) that TGF2 can't? I'd rather not spend the money if I don't have to, but I also want quality.

And can someone explain flags and behaviors? The tuts didn't talk about them much.

MMF2 gives you as you had mentioned access to new extensions and Alpha channels, but their is also a ton of other differences. Check them out here...

As far as Flags go think of them as switches, flags can either be on or off, True or False. So prehaps you want to pick a object randomly and test for to see if the flag is off, once that condition is meet in your actions you turn the flag on, so the action is performed again, things like that are where Flags can be useful.

Behaviors are identical to the main event editor accept your events are capsulized inside the object, this events of course run at the end of the main loop as the main event editor events run first, Cool for compartmentalizing your code, but can also end up slowing up a game.

I completed the tutorial for Choco-Break and I wanted to see what it would be like if I uploaded it to NG.
So when I click on build and run, it says it can not find a ''LAME MP3 Encoder.'' It then says I have to install ''LAME_ENC.DLL'' somewhere on my computer. So I put it on my Desktop and nothing happened.
Could someone help me please?

P.S. No, I'm not going to be the 20th person that's will upload it.

Yeah you just need to put the background on a separate layer and change the scrolling speed, also put a condition in to make the frame always follow/center on the player, there are some tutorials on the click site I think.

The condition is all you need really:
Always
>(Storyboard)Scrollings>Center Window Position in Frame>0,0 relative to the character

I'm back from my trip out west and am soon ready to start my MMF2 project for school. Watch for some threads appearing here and in other forums (e.g. collab, art) in the next week or so.

Also a quick question regarding flags: is there a limit to how many flags an Object can have? The first time I created one I just noticed that it was labelled Flag 0 or something. And is there any way of looking at a list of all active flags within an Object without creating another Object that outputs their values?

I don't think there's any way to view them...at least I tried and couldn't find anything

I seem to be having a brainfart on a simple problem.

I want one object that randomly respawns at the same point, and moves forward in the same direction. I'm having problems getting it to go straight forward as soon as it shows up.
