That actually was a really good video. I'll agree with Jolly, you should make more. Maybe a series of redstone tutorials.

However, I opted for a less mess, less hassle solution to my own. While your video showed my that door are the exception to being vertically transmitted in that manner, I found the following to be far easier, lol.

I didn't know you could do that but I usually work with more complex Redstone devices. Guess you do learn something new everyday.

I have been working on a Redstone tutorial but its pretty hard to keep the video up to my usual standards. This was the exception to the rule (to assert my Redstone dominance). Also my version of Sony Vegas ran out so, time for more low budget quick vids.

I don't know his username, but he joined and started playing regularly. Donut and someone else were talking about a griefer, and Donut said something like "deal with it" or something, and then my stepbrother got banned. i'll get a better explanation when I talk to him about it again.

Sooooooooo, how exactly do I get custom texture packs to work? I don't exactly want to do all that stuff where you delete all the "roaming" data or whatever.

I thought you could simply put the texture pack into the texture packs folder and then select them in game? Whenever I do that though, it crashes.

Give us a link to the texture pack you're trying to install.

Last time I checked, all 16x16 packs and below required nothing else but a simple drop of the zip file into the texture packs folder as you attempted.

32x32 packs and up (HD) require MCPatcher until Notch (and IF Notch) adds support for these packs..

Your best bet is to read the OP in the thread of whatever texture pack you're downloading. Most authors provide detailed installation instructions if applicable.

I believe the few I tried were all 32 X 32 or even 64 X 64. I'll give that MCpatcher a try.

However, if I ever got bored of the texture pack and wanted to go back to the original graphics how would I do so? Should I make a copy of some of the files (I have no clue which) just as backup?

A little project I'm working on in single player is basically, I made a small stone hut I guess you could say and simply dug all the way to bedrock. From bedrock (must be atleast 30+ blocks down) I am simply mining out a 18 x 9 cave-like thing, going up to find lots of diamonds and stuff. It will take a LONG time to complete, but if you guys wants pics or something, I'll post some. I know it's nothing major special or anything, but it keeps me preoccupied :P

go up 14 blocks, and start digging.
