I wonder what would be the proper place to put light, and to put dark that will contrast the light but not too intense.
Cut the monkey by the toe and kiss its boo boo for some...k, dunno how to rhyme with that need help with that but in the mean time here's a mecha slicer mcjigger-mcbob.

By interpreting what you said, I understand everything you're trying to tell me. You're saying that the texture-like hatching will be further better with the same routine but with slight adjustment!....that or snow poo.....
Wip of evolution creature D for that evolution thread, currently stuck picking out for the right texture for hair and antler. Gotta remember to reform the antler a little more to make it.....more of an antler.

I would recommend adding some harsher shadows and more contrast to this piece.

You don't need to use the sharpen and contrast tools, I just mean that by blurring your work it removes both sharpness and contrast. So by leaving the work unblurred, it gives it more sharpness and contrast.
Did I mention sharpness and contrast?

Im surprise that I still have some scanned sketches in this laptop, since the school scanner is now out of my reach, I might as well show all I scanned so far.
I stop going further on this one because something about the anatomy is way off .
I think scanned this because I thought it was cute and simple.
I scanned this cause itz ah ninjah, though I think I screw up on the handle.
Lastly this sketch was for comparison, an straighter edge-ier line vs a more curvy line.
