Don't forget to have the final piece in proper dimensions and dpi it'd be a shame if you put in all the work and they can't accept it cause it's too long or tall.

First and foremost... you have to remember that all pieces will go into a 'frame' of some sort. So by adding the (way too prominent) logo type and black bars across the top & bottom, you basically made yours unusable. Yeah, we could have asked you to remove them, but we assume what's posted in the art thread is your final submission, and we judge it as such.

As for the actual content... it's somewhat unbalanced and random (unless that was intentional, in which case you should have pushed it even more) ...and I don't get the dots all around the figures. Might have been cool if you had used that technique for the shading ...to give it that comic book vibe, ya know? You had a good idea... it just didn't quite come together.

I can't wait to see all the entries! I have the deadline marked on my calendar! lol

Thank you very much. Taking that in regard I started a sketch for this years entry.

Right now I just sketched out the background in around 10 minutes or so. Some famous NG characters are basically just taking a day off from all the chaos of Newgrounds and enjoy a nice picnic together. I haven't decided which characters to include so I'm just writing down a list of possibilities for myself to see what would work out.

I once made a drwing of tom fulp, but can I use that drawing, make it better, and add other characters etc to it? Or does everything in the whole piece need to be new/specially made for this contst?

I'm a little confused on the rules...are we allowed or NOT allowed to make a piece featuring our own characters? I have...four cartoons on NG now featuring my own personal characters Onions, Kolaskum, and Snowball...So can I make a submission for the calendar thats a picture of them?

Mm, I think you can, but I reckon characters that lots of people recognise will play a big part in the judging of the entries.

Also there's this (scapegoat!) rule which says:
"- Fan/tribute art will get more consideration than self-promotional pieces."

Does it have to be a totally original drawing, or can we import images from other sources (like Newgrounds, for example)?
