You kiddin'? We have at least 20. Any bigger than we are and we wouldn't even be able to eat or drink in the same buildings anyway. The group is a pretty ideal size as it stands, and if you push too much for numbers, you end up with a bunch of riff raff.

Yeah, that happened to us this year in Montreal. Both on Friday and Saturday night, we had trouble finding a decent bar to host everyone...
Thank god, we luckily managed to find something decent on both nights...
*cough*
Oh hey, sup dudes -n- dudettes. Toronto sounds awesome.

I just assumed that about half that number would actually show up. But if you insist on 20, then it's all good with me.
Hey do you guys know that place, Wild Wings?
It's fucking awesome. They have like 50 kinds of chicken wings. I PROPOSE THAT I EAT CHICKEN WINGS

You're staying alone with Spikrodd, right?
Just curious: Which hotel near the park would you recommend?

I don't know if its near the park, but so far, we're a good number staying at the Novotel.
It's pretty reasonable as far as the price goes.

so i guess that means i'll have to get a room too seeing as how I originally planned to crash on your floor?
or is that a different night?
and with that said, take me off the attending list and strike me down as a maybe.

That particular one is awfully far, but there are wings everywhere. We will find wings.

I'm sorry to hear that you no longer a free place to stay.
I assume everyone has to find their own room.

I could offer up my hotel room, but it won't be free.
Hey, I have an idea for Friday. We go to a free taping of the CBC talk show George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight (formerly known as The Hour). Yes, that is the host's real name. I went to a taping yesterday where he interviewed Billy Connolly, which was enjoyable, and I asked George about the recent name change during the audience Q&A. He said he didn't like his complicated last name being used, but because the show is now half an hour, it needed a new name. Unfortunately, I can only get three other tickets, but if more are interested, they can organize something. We have to be there for no later than 4:15pm and I don't know the guest(s) yet. If you're interested, send me a PM. (You'll have to be comfortable with giving me your real full name for getting tickets, which I promise I won't use for anything else.)

Damn I would have gone but we'll be arriving much later than that...
I say we just meet up at a bar or something. Like Bier Market on Espande

If you're referring to Friday, we can easily do that afterward.

Bier Market is pretty damned expensive, and tough to get a big group into. Let's spend the early weekend washing over some other options to see if we can improve upon this.
I don't mean to poo-poo everything, it's just tough to find a snug fit for a big group with various interests and economic fortitudes.

Ahh okay. I just wanted a strawberry beer. I'm okay with going anywhere. My other go-to place would be the Madison at the Annex but I don't know if that is considered cheap.

It's affordable and spacey. Only downside is distance. We'd have to transit or taxi for sure. Still, probably worth a spot on the 'maybe' pile.
Lu, happy hour is really more of an American thing. It exists here, but it's nowhere near as prevalent. Also, isn't that usually around 5 or some other inconvenient hour? I think a lot of people are arriving around 9ish.
