England's defense was bad in the first half, and in a complete panic in the second. Guess Capello didn't manage to get through to 'em during half-time...a shame.
Not saying that England deserved to win (though they were pretty damned good at the end of the first half and the beginning of the second)...but damn, you can't do that kind of damage to a team that's fighting to re-open the game just because you feel that "Video Replay would rob soccer of its spirit and cheapen it".
Seriously, who knows what could've happened, if they'd managed to tie before half-time? The sheer psychological effect can change the outlook of the game, ESPECIALLY if both teams mull it over for ten minutes before getting back on the field.
Bah. As per usual, this will change absolutely nothing. Not sure if ANYONE is a fan of Blatter and Platini in this Cup (the fat, useless, incredibly conceited bastards), or the rest of FIFA for that matter.
Ah well. Sorry for the English supporters, for Capello, and above all for Rooney. Knowing the British press, he's going to get slammed tomorrow morning...and all for being incapable of pulling a rabbit out of a hat and scoring enough goals to keep England in the Cup.
