Thanks for the update, rev. A shame about the typo here, since I was a little shocked to see that I'd lost 20 since this morning :P

A lot less progress than I wanted, but hey, that's the way with these things. I've got to up the pace and get myself up there in the rankings. Time to push myself forward and head off for more reviews.

Looking through the reviews I'm starting to notice that it's starting to get short and spammy. I'm challenging you guys to write better reviews. Most cases the artist went through a lot of work to create the pieces they make, the least you can do is tell what you like about it, what needs work, and how you feel about it overall. In the art world, there is no such thing as a perfect work and there is always something to criticize; even the Mona Lisa has some critics.

So improve or face dire consequences.

True - but the same argument applies for review Flashes.
People really dig it if you can explicitly tell them what you like about a drawing (anatomy, composition, mood ...) , so they know they've achieved the right response. They'd also like to know what doesn't work, beside your own personal preferences. Even if it's not fixable on the reviewed submission, they may bear it in mind for the future.

The reviews aren't even counted in terms of reviews in our stats page - that's evident in how much the admins think about them as 'reviews' or as a stat.

You could put that down to being the most recent portal, or the upcoming redesign being a higher priority ... but at the end of the day I doubt many people give a toss whether their review counter is increasing from art reviews, or not.

Ohmy had to go digging for this old list allthough its still a newborn hehe, anyways glad to see it still somewhat active.

Hey, I wrote an art review today, but I still show up with a gain of zero. This either means I had a review deleted or the stats where pulled before I wrote the review.

Bad news everyone. This list is going on hiatus for awhile. The laptop where I had all my files on it, the power cord melted and caught on fire a week ago. I wasn't able to get any of my Excel files or list templates off before the battery died out.

So until I can get another one or find a way to transfer data from my hard drive it's going to be delayed for some time.

Ouch, that sucks. Hope you get that fixed without having to pay too much for repairs or a new cord.

That's a bummer, but we have to live with it - at least it gives me time to nail down a few Art reviews and get myself up there in the mix fir the next update. I know I've been slacking reviews wise for the past few months.
