True - but the same argument applies for review Flashes.
People really dig it if you can explicitly tell them what you like about a drawing (anatomy, composition, mood ...) , so they know they've achieved the right response. They'd also like to know what doesn't work, beside your own personal preferences. Even if it's not fixable on the reviewed submission, they may bear it in mind for the future.
The reviews aren't even counted in terms of reviews in our stats page - that's evident in how much the admins think about them as 'reviews' or as a stat.
You could put that down to being the most recent portal, or the upcoming redesign being a higher priority ... but at the end of the day I doubt many people give a toss whether their review counter is increasing from art reviews, or not.
