I can certainly advocate it! A little disappointed with how mine turned out, but hey, it got done and it was fun.

Also features some of the most uninspired enemy design ever, but I assure you this was intentional.

It's a bit sloppy overall, you should tighten up a bit like you said, but I've got to say Lint, I love the lighting here. It's dramatic, consistent, and good looking. Good job!

I honestly didn't quite know how to tighten it up, but after a little (lot) of studying I think I've got the way forwards. And thanks for noticing the lighting, man!

Anyway, this also happens to be for the flash game. Basically just drew up a new documents and resolved to fill it up with scribbles about whatever nifty shit popped into my head. A bit sad that it both ended up this neat, and this rendered - probably most of the concept work I'm going to need before moving onto the pixel art stage. Huh.

I think the looseness/unfinishedness kinda looks cool, like Spags said the lighting is really quite awesome, I think the only real bothersome thing for me is the perspective, it's like "floor" is playing all sorts of tricks on me. But then again could just be me.

The floor has a lot of contours in it, to say the least. I can totes see why that would give you a killer headache. My little fetish for perspective may have gotten a little unleashed there.

And it's weird that you think the sloppiness adds to it - I've always been under the impression that unless a painting is certifiable crisp and done, it's crap and the artist should be branded with shame (least thats the standard that I've always held myself up to).

I totally recommend it. The amount that you learn from doing them totally makes up for the shame incurred by the knowledge of how terrible they look by the end of it.

I kept the sketch attached for this one. Idk, one of my favourite parts about painting is seeing the art come to life from a short sketch. Experimented a lot with this piece, and intend to experiment with future pieces, keeping whats good and whatnot. Ah, this'll be the last imaginative piece for a while, I intend to delve into doing still lives and whatnot to really bolster my painting skills.

From looking at all your art recently, I've noticed you have a pretty good handle on lighting and how it affects everything in a picture, so I just wanted to congratulate you on that! The next thing I'd work on, in my opinion, is smoothing out the shading that you paint because of that. Sometimes it feels kind of slopped on and the edges are too hard, when it should be more of a gradation between the shadow, midtone, and highlight.

Alright, everyone, I'm going to share my workload for the next few days and past week or so:

- Draw 50 million robot pictures, sketches, practice, whatever (DONE, can't posted because intellectual property? idk)
- Draw shitty hipthrusting picture of friend with codpiece (DONE)
- Draw Shadman being tortured and basically skinned alive
- Draw a 20 man gay orgy, featuring men I happen to know personally and maybe one of the participants is actually gay? It's for a really bad joke. I don't think I'll post that here.

Haha, oh wow. That... yeah. sheez. That's what happens at 5am, folks.

Anyway, I do a lot of sketches - most are very loose, observational drawings and I like to keep it that way - quicker, and all.

However, this one, especially considering it just began as an experiment innot referencing the figure in a more complex pose, kinda spiraled out of control. Features some freakin' character and is the culmination of 100+ combined hours of drawing since my last sketch was uploaded. I really like working with line.

Anyway that's enough talking yer ears off.
