What anime show do you think is good? I am not an anime freak, as some people would say, but i am still wondering what anime shows people like. I have watched many anime shows but I still want to know: What anime you think is best?

However I think we all can agree that Manga > Anime

The only good anime show THAT ISNT HENTAI really is the old Pokemon. Now how it is reight now, now its this stupid lovey dovey crap about the bond between pets and humans. Before it was about animal exploitation and getting half of Japan to have seizures.

I've only watched Full Metal Alchemist, and Naruto. But if you want some real anime you should watch some Hayao Miyazaki films!

I agree with the final one, I havent seen the other 2 but hellsing seems good. I always thought of deathnote as more of a female one rather than male but havent seen myself.

Myself, I love .hack//SIGN the most and the rest of the series is great also. I also like Fullmetal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell SAC, movie also great. Cowboy Bebop is really fun and Spike is a legend. Others I have that I am not so keen on are Bleach, I love its fighting its rather over the top and fun but its all samey and boring story. She, The Ultimate Weapon was a good watch but it was to sex obsessive, really nice theme to it though. I don't own much anime myself and have seen only a hand full of others so cant comment on much more. Movie wise I would say Akira is great, it was the first anime other than pokemon I watched and will always be a classic.

What I like in anime is a good story and good characters in a well thought out world that all work together, I find action fun but I am much more of a story viewer, its why I like the .hack ones so much compared to others despite the lack of action. also ghost in the shell has a really good mix of story character and action, very nice anime imo.

The only reason people bash so hard on naruto, is becuase all they take the time to watch is the bastardization that is the americaized version.

Fact: Naruto never ones says "Belive it, dattybayo" or any other dumb catchprhrase that seems to always be associated with him.

I'm not like a narutard or anything I honestly like the show and feel it gets a bad wrap. If you try watching the subbed version, of the 2nd season, when he's older he gets to be a lot more badass.

I loved Mononoke for the amazing story, and the fact that there was no true antagonist in this one. Everyone was simply doing what they did for their own survival.

SPOILERS!

The humans mined and built weapons to protect themselves from other nations and the wild beasts.
The spirits of the forest hunted the humans because they were forging weapons that turned them into demons. Prince Ashitaka was just a victim of the hatred inbetween the two factors.

The beginning basically alludes to the main conflict of the story. :)

"See with eyes unclouded by hatred.", if only people could do that today.

Only good anime was Cowboy Bebop.

It was actually Pikachu's fault, but Porygon took the blame for it and hadn't appeared again since...

I don't really watch anime all that often but I have a lot of friends who do so occasionally I'll see a few. Some are good but most of it doesn't really seem like it's for me.

I kind of agree with you on this one actually. I tried to like this show, but I just couldn't get into it. I know a lot of people who would defend it but I don't think I'd be one of them. I guess it started out okay, I was able to get through like thirty episodes but than I just got bored with it. It wasn't able to hold my interest.

Good, Baccano! Yeah it's kind of silly, but there are parts that make me laugh and the amount of gruesome bloody scenes are surprising for this brightly colored cartoon with a lot of funny scenes and upbeat jokes. on scene has Elliot and Miria saying their wacky things And than next thing you see Lad Russo punching a guys brains out. Kind of hard to follow because it's all over the place but it never gets boring.

Not so great, Beck. I could get in trouble for this one, I know people who like it. As like with Bleach I tried to like this one. I'm a musician so I hear about an anime about the drama, struggles success of a little band would be something I'd naturally like... And it had it's moments but it also had a lot of what I felt was dead space. Like at the end of some scenes they'd end the conversation but it would still just linger, just showing the characters standing around not really doing anything. Also it often wouldn't show them actually playing, when it did it was stock footage. Later on it just show the outside of the bar or club they were playing in and just have one of the same four songs they played. I guess it was pretty boring, and they never really explain the zombie dog or whatever it is. That sort of annoyed me...

I really haven't seem much more anime than that. Oh yeah the Hayao Miyazaki movies which are generally good. But I've already wasted enough time on this... and I'm not even really into anime.
