sounds about right, although I would suggest posting the final up here in the art forum about a day before you put it to the portal.
this way we can give it one last look over before we send you on your way :P

It's always good to have a second pair of eyes, or a dozen pair of eyes, to catch any last mistakes.

Quick question, do you think that this could get on thr frontpage? Or atleast get a someone to scout me? I really want to grow as an artist/animator but if I get known I know people will give me more comments and I can improve a lot more. This has been a great experience and I have learned a lot. just make sure you clean up the lines, they dont looks too good compared to the characters, the colours on the tree dont reach the linework, and make sure the shadows on the ground correspond with all the other shading and the light source

I will clean the lines and the colors there are just there to show you how I plan to color them so don't worry about that. I will fix the issues with the colors but does the design look good? I will let you guys decide whether or not it looks good and please suggest things to make the background better.

Thoughts? This is the most difficult part for me because I suck at making backgrounds so please help me as much as you can, Thanks in advance. Hope you like it.

I like the background, I think it is simplistic but effective.

here goes

I feel that the shadows cast from the character are angled wrong. I feel they need to be more to the right to match the light source. the chosen colors have a very lighthearted feel about them. I think for this piece and it's content are appropriate for each other. The composition of the piece feels balanced but almost too much, perhaps some clouds could break it up a little

I will fix those shadows, don't worry about it. I'll add some clouds. Let me give it a try. I'll post something tomorrow. Thanks for the review. Do you think that once I fix that I will be done?
