Well it is no secret that Newgrounds likes to strive on humor so if there is any collab that I think would be worth mentioning it would be a collab where the theme is about "bad clichés". It doesn't even have to be anything specific, just general clichés that have pissed your off in the past. I will give a few examples (but definitely not limited to).

Video Game clichés(Protagonists, Antagonists, bad one liners, Recurring themes, etc. Will probably be a popular pick for all the video game fans.)
Movie clichés (Probably the easiest one to poke fun at. Pick any genre, romance, comedy, action, drama, horror... you name it.)
Anime clichés (don't even get me started on this one.)
Fairy Tale clichés
Popculture

a musical genius collab, and the genius is an underdog.

I've been thinking about making a shared account to put the List of Ppl Looking to Collaborate in, then I could split the list up and put people in more specific categories about what they want to work on.
Perhaps even have a list of current flash and art collabs and perhaps contests that are currently open that people can participate in. Do you guys think this would be a good idea or not worth the effort?

Na, the over-rated Super Mario Bros Z pisses me off enough. You should think more about how the collab can be done instead of a topic like dbz or some other show. Like collabs that have a certain style or are done in a certain way like the Go-on collab.

I am looking for anybody interested in helping me and a buddy out with a project we've been trying to get off the ground. It's a World of Warcraft based series that follows a megalomaniac warlock named Garthim and his less crazy Warrior friend Tenaros as Garthim tries various ways of gaining power and taking over the world. We have four episodes on Youtube (and 20 some written) that I'll link to so you can see what I'm talking about. The two characters are in the Warcraft universe but we rarely refer to anything that is only found in game so it'll be very easy to transition them into their own Universe if need be. The videos on Youtube are our first attempts at machinima so I can't speak for their quality and we wanted them to be animations in the first place but never thought to browse Newgrounds for anybody willing to help. I'll leave the links here and if you're interested or have any other questions please feel free to message me here.

This was what I orginally posted but I don`t quite have the qualifications.

I`ll need an
Organizer (Man, I suck. I can`t animate or group several animatons into one.)
Animators (All the Animators we can get!)

Here are some important scenes.

Prolouge: This is the first animation.
A stick figure which look somewhat
like the one in "Break the Bank" or
"Escape the Prison". That should
be easy to draw. And he`s on Google
Images and looks up "The meaning
of life". He gets a picture of Jello.
Then he screams "Jello!"

Mid-Animatoins: This is inbetween
the credits and prolouge. There are
several animations where he somewhat
humiliates himself by answering "Jello!"
to everything. It`s like YesMan, but it`s
JelloMan.

(Ex1: Teacher: Jimmy, what is 7x5?
Jimmy: Jello!)
(Ex2: Mom: Honey, we need a new
car, our Honda is getting old. Jimmy
goes on eBay and searches
"new car." he gets a bid for a
Ferrari and bids "Jello.")

These are quite easy to think up, sometimes you get an idea in nothing flat.
And also, YOU CAN use Ex1 and Ex2. PM me you are doing so and before
you start, I will PM you back as soon as I can.

I sometimes get ideas for short movies, so I thought that I'll publish one here and if an animator will like it we can work on it together.
This short movie might be more "realistic" than most of the short movies I see here at NG, it's about a man who works at a supermarket, but then finds out just how much money the supermarket earns, and he sees people who can't afford to buy food and support their familes, and hopes it can be different.
This person wants to make a difference in this world, so he opens a little stand, like a lemonade stand and starts selling basic food products without making money, he sells the products for the cheapest cost he can afford without losing money, so naturally at the beginning people don't trust him, but later on they start buying things only from him, and his little stand gets bigger so he can sell more things, still not making any money out of it.
I got some more ideas of how to expand this idea but I'll talk about it in person if someone is interested.

the only collab that hasent been done a dosen times is a collab for doki doki panic the american smb2 but then I remembered there arent many sprite sheets for that game of the main charas
or a collab about wart from smb2

Cool man, as of right now we only have two recurring characters but send me a demo cause we may have use for a few one or two liners.

After four years of active service, it was apparent that there was something wrong with her internal mechanics as the whites of her eyes had become grey and deposits of phazon were beginning to form on the outside of the yellow irises of her eyes. As the corruption advanced and had nearly claimed her, she was locked into the VAULT. A giant room with phazite walls and phazon constantly pumped just beneath the floor panels to radiate energy that vitalized her. However, as time went on, she spent more and more of her days in that room. She ultimately became cut off from the world and had barely any social interaction outside of mealtimes, and even then, that wasn't a guarantee as the guards were commonly heard telling her to be silent. In their eyes, she had become a tool, and a weapon. As she realized that she was just viewed as property rather than a living being, the days became slower and slower until the Vault seemed like a prison. As she sits inside, she waits for the day she gets her next mission.

HOw about someone that works at a quickie mart just learns that they have metal ability to see people naked, most often at the most wrong and awkward moments?

If I was qualified to make a collab, I would make one called:
Tribute to Yakov Naumovich Pokhis: A Soviet Russia Story!

And, Basically everybody just makes up Soviet Russia jokes, like "In Soviet Russia, CD Listens to you!" or "In Soviet Russia, DVD watches you!" and Animates it like a instructional video about how to survive in Soviet Russia. If anyone wants to use this I gladly want them to.

hi guys i was kinda thinking about making a sort of 48 frame collab it's been an idea thats been in the back of my head for ages if loads of people make a 2 second animation each that would be the limit ( or maybe longer... (each piece unrelated or maybewe could have a theme) and well yeah a big collab basically but i'm not good at organising things and have alot of other projects atm I'm just wondering do you know if anything similiar has been done on here it would be cool if we could get loads of animators involved?
I was kinda inspired by adam phillips series of 2 second animations he did sort of like that and a series of 48 frame animations on channel frederator.
because of the fact it's so short it would be easy for nearly everyone to find time to make a quick animation

lets lose the mario / kirby / nintendo / whatever collabs..

doesnt have to to be parody or videogames - it can be cool and fresh and new too!

there was a time on newgrounds where the word collab was looked highly upon and its seemed now to be just an excuse....dont forget!

collab IS SHORT FOR collaboration - dont forget the great original musicians we have as well as voice actors/ programmers ect!

Your collab ideas are awesome though. I've been meaning to join a few more collabs, but I always find myself getting involved with other crap. Not to mention you're right, I'm not too crazy about the collab ideas out there. Mario/Kirby/Nintendo have been done many times before.

I had this one idea for a collab where everyone involved takes their iPod (or other music player), puts their entire library on shuffle, and animates roughly about 10 seconds for each of the first three songs that come up. Those ten seconds can be from any part of the song, but it would create a really awesome mass of music and art, and plus it would be interesting to see what kinds of songs pop up and what animations are done to go with them. Sure, there's no way to prove someone used what randomly popped up as opposed to picking three songs (though I think going off of what came up on shuffle would be more fun), but either way, I still think it would be a cool idea.

I don't mean to interrupt your rant which you do have a good argument but, don't you think that, that sentence kinda stepped of the toes of those collab organizers. I really agree with you but, you didn't have to say specifically...

I don't know if this is original or not but, I would like to see a Commercial/Ad collab! Like, every one has 3 options:
1: Make a parody of a existing Commercial and/or Ad
2: Make a made up Commercial and/or Ad for a existing company
3: Make a made up Commercial and/or Ad for a fake company

Like "Youtube! A excellent source for anything from instructional videos to jailbait porn!"

SOEMONE SHOULD Make a video game collab like where people make funny cartoons about video games like splinter cell, gears of war ,or god of war!!

I find it sad too that this thread is so overlooked, the main problem with it is that most people post their threads without thinking too much about the ideas, AND, people who post their ideas here dont get any feedback, or very little... I love participating in collabs, but I say there are very few collab ideas who really attract me, of course I liked the ideas of the ones I joined in the past, but right now there is only one collab in this forum which Im interested in: The dub collaboration, I may join that, But I dont wanna until I have other projects finished, plus most people in there are better than me...

Anyways, two collab ideas I liked so far from here:
-Underage collab (Goat-Man)
-Ipod shuffle thingy collab (RazorHawk)
both of them still need some more thinking, but could become awesome collabs

I've been wantin' to do this for an age. I have an idea for an cartoon/anime-esque series, called INDIGO. It's about a group of people who live in the mountains and protect the world from "The Faceless". Currently, I've been trying to draw it like a manga, but I think it'd be SOOOOO much better as a flash series. I'd need one or more animators, and a bunch of voice actors though. (I mean a BUNCH of VAs. A TON...) And we'd probably have to work very closly together, either by IM or voice chat, 'cause I don't think it'll ever happen simply by sharing a couple Emails and files. What do you people think? Interested????

P.S. INDIGO IS original, with all original characters, and a really epic music theme, but I can't deny that the plot's similar to Bleach.

P.P.S. I'm not an animator obviously, otherwise I'd just do it myself. I'm a writer/VA.
