Oh travelling in London is fine really, only thing I dislike is walking into a pub on your own, now that is scary. SEE YOU GUYS FRIDAY NIGHT

[I've been wandering round but I still come back to you]

lol, I just noticed I never could come either. God, I'm such a failure...

Anyway, can someone (everyone) do me a favour and just, y'know, randomly hug Leanne at sporadic times throughout the day?

No reason.

Just wondering if anyone'll actually do it just 'cuz I told 'em to (assuming they weren't going to already). :P

For those showing up for friday's thing, the White Swann Pub is kinda hard to get to if you've never been there before. On the plus side, the Wapping Tube Station should be open now and its like a block from there. In the past we've taken the tube to Tower Hill and then just cabbed it from there. If you have 3-4 other people with you it comes out to like a pound or so each.

If you feel like you'll have any issues just pm me for my number and just buzz me when youre nearby or what not.

SEE YA SOON.

Does much usually happen on the Friday before Karaoke evening? I get the impression it's more of a laid back thing.

Just sorting out my travel, but hopefully see you all at the meet again!

The number 100 bus also goes right past the pub too.
GAH.
All these different names and tube stations! "UNDERGROUND" "OVERGROUND" I hope it won't be this confusing once I get there and get a hold of a map or something. Also...cabs drive all night? How expensive are these bitches?

Ok dude.

Get off at the station.

Find the Underground/Tube.

I'm not too familiar with Euston station but it should be in the station if not just outside.

Take the northern line to the destination (forgotten the name already clever me)

Ask a memeber of staff just for reassurance.

Get off, ask a member of the public where the travelodge is.

On a side note:

Is anyone taking the route to Waterloo station on Friday morning? I'll be heading up at around 9-ish.

Getting a lift to Salisbury bus station, walking to the Train station, then getting the 2 or so hour train from there to London Waterloo..

Such a FUN journey, so yeah thought it'd lighten it up a bit.

I go through the sort of, Basingstoke way, so yeah get back to me on that if anyone is.

Cheers talk to ya later guys.

I'll have a play with that tomorrow... looks like I might be getting lost in London after all -.-
Well that's simple then. Both Southwark and Waterloo are on the jubilee line, go to Canada Water then get the overground to wapping.

Simples. Do I need anything other than a day travel card for Zone 1, my good travel oracle chum?

Alright guys, when Leanne walks in, we all need to go very quiet and turn to face her, as if we're all serious and "WTF are you doing here?!" with her :P

Google Streetview is a godsend for this - finding how the pub looks in the local area, so that you know where you're off to, as the bus drivers are psychotic in London. You would be looking backwards from the number 100 bus to spot the front door (blue corner door) for the White Swan.

At least you've been to the meets before. It's scarier for me since I'm not even familiar with this pub as well as seeing you all for the first time. There's no turning back, though. :)

Haha yeah. Weebl's name was right at the top of the list, but when I asked him earlier this week he was like 'there's an NG meet?' Still unconfirmed if he'll make it or not. We'll just keep it as a potential surprise I guess.

There are a fair few people on there who aren't necessarily coming. I think it's the same guest list from the meet two years ago.
At least it gives people some idea though

Yes!

You need a zone 1-2 card, because Wapping is in zone 2. The good news is that a Zone 1-2 travelcard costs exactly the same as a zone 1 travelcard!

I don't know if this has been answered before so forgive me, but am I right in thinking you can get a travelcard along when you buy a train ticket? I'm pretty sure I did it before and it just cost a few quid more for my journey from kent.

The list is for the most part updated. Some people signed up to go via the facebook event page, some via msn, some via aim, some via singing telegram etc. Weebl for instance was pming me info about the place picked out for tmrw. It'll never really be realistic because people back out last minute (or show up last minute) but for the sake of getting a ball park id say its not terribly out of range. Oh well, worst case scenario it'll be just me.

Yeah, it only costs like £2 or something trivial like that (for me) when I buy a travelcard with my train ticket. There's an option for it and everything. Go for that.

Zones 1 and 2 though? Sorry I leave everything late. Not even checked train times yet.

Most of them stop around midnight. Kind of ironic for a city that supposedly never sleeps.
