There are so many times in human history, when an event weighs so heavily upon the hearts and the souls of mankind that is threatens to break even the strongest of men, and to lead the greatest of us to tears.
Such events as the burning of the Library of Alexandria, the collapse of Rome, and the assassination of Dr. King, have lead mankind to tears and a lack of a burning beacon of knowledge and enlightenment.
Tonight, another event signals the coming of a loss of knowledge, and a flood of tears.
Tonight, we honor the departure of our beloved brother, Sanjay.
With our brother leaving, we are now filled with a void of darkness and sorrow. Newgrounds has clearly lost one of its best.
As he leaves, one thing is certain, the site, and indeed the world, is a darker place. Filled with anxiety and uncertainty, we have cast ourselves off of the brink of the realm of comfort, and have fallen into a mysterious forest which is as dark as it is nameless.
I know not of where we will go, how we will navigate out of this forest, or if we will ever find our way out.
But I do know this my friends.
Indeed, the world is a darker place, now that our beloved brother has left us.
So raise your glass and toast to the memory of Sanjay, the man, the mod, the idealist, he who so inspired and cared for each and every on of us as if he was our family.
May the world itself carry you on its shoulders Sanjay, you deserve all the best.
