Gladly Luwano. The human with the funny hat represents the people of my country, crocodiles represent the corrupt government and the tortoise stands for the pace of which my country progresses.
The first one with the tortoise shows how stubborn the people are to keep riding on the tortoise despite its ineffectiveness, and how blind they are that the crocodile is hiding in his own baggage. They know they can get a better ride than a tortoise but they refuse since they are all lazy and self entitled. The crocodile, gets the most out of the situation since he's just hanging there without any due consequence.
The second one has both characters connected by a rope tied to their respective necks. The corrupt government's avaricious tendencies led to the asphyxiation of the people and eventually its own. Due to the desire for wealth, the corrupt does not only endanger the life of the people it claims to serve, but also its own.
