As far as medieval/fantasy, I kinda picture fantasitc renaissance era contraptions (whether or not they were physically realized) for many of the elements in the level. Sure it would be bending the rules of medieval era a little, but I think it would work and not be too cliche. Maybe we should have had a "history of flight" level in the mix. =P Of course it would be up to the artistic vision of the team that works on that level.

I'm willing to do the coding for this if you'll have me. I can whip up a quick engine and start passing around movieclip templates to the artists involved.

I would suggest a team of people for each of the following areas:

1. Bgs
2. Normal Enemies
3. Playable character & weapon upgrades
4. Bosses (preferably an artist or artists who have experience making games for these since they'll be more complex)

Anyway, let me know if you want me on board and I'll put up an engine demo.

I know I'm not the best artist on here, so if it's one of those "Oh HE'S here and wants to make some art, GREAT..", then don't hesitate to tell me that I'm not needed, but I thought I'd offer since this sounds like fun.

Is there anything that needs getting done for this? I don't have flash, but I can make draw pictures and then line/color them in photoshop.

I'm dabbling with animation at the moment but I would love to make artwork for a game, as long as someone wanted to use it and animate it that would be awesome.

I need to practice my background art anyway and I would really like to do character concepts etc.

I'm pretty satisfied with the themes, I would definitely like to contribute to most of them.
