Merry Redesign all! Have an update!

Looks like we had an even slower fortnight than last. Mad props to Nemo: you might be last on the list but damn did you take us all to school this update! Apparently EKublai's returned to college too, welcome back to the trophy troup bro. Surprising not to see big numbers from our current top three... perhaps Cam can kick some life into the trio if the pattern continues and he breaks into third place next update.

Speaking of next update, unfortunately work is still being a pain in my ass. At this stage I won't be able to update again for 3 weeks, making the date 29 February. It is possible for this to swing a little left or very right so if anyone's interested in taking over to keep the updates regular just let me know. Otherwise stand by to stand by trophy whores! : )

Do you still update manually? If not I would be happy to take over for you for while you're gone. But the thought of sitting and going trough 50+ users again, is already giving me nightmares.

Hahaha it's not purely manual but it's not fully automated either. Kinda semi-automatic! ; P Cam sent me the program he made for it, all you do is punch in the numbers (the app automatically brings up the webpage of each user's trophycase as you navigate through) and once you're done just copy and paste the list into the post box of NG! Will admit, there's a couple of minor bugs you have to be aware of (e.g. Top Trophy Whores doesn't generate names, if there's a tie in the leaderboard for level and percentage one of the users gets cut out) but it's all in the readme and pretty simple. I'll email it to you if you're interested?

Cool man. I'm glad you've said so, at this stage it looks most likely I'll be away for at least 2 months+. I usually posted the update on my Wednesday afternoon (which was NG's late Tuesday night/early Wed morning) but just go with whatever's easiest for you!

Hum, I did play Stranger's Wrath before you made this update so I should have had some trophies added. Oh well, when you update again, there'll be even more from me since I gained 62% of the trophies and got two gold trophies from it so that's pretty cool. As an Oddworld fanatic, I found it to be a very enjoyable game and admired the different settings whilst still offering the Oddworld vibe from the characters. There were some plot points which I felt were off but overall, I'm glad to have played this game at long last. The PC port was abysmal so it was waiting for the HD remake on PS3.

Next up is definitely Rayman Origins and hopefully by the time you post the next update I'll have gone through another few games as well.

I feel like laughing maniacally at my complete conquest of Dark Souls. Damn that game is fun. And with those 20 silvers out of the way, after I bought it I learned Atelier Totori has 17 silvers and 6 bronzes.

...I ain't complaining.

Your total trophy count is currently registering as 239 on the page used to log your stats so I'd guess you hadn't synced your trophies before I pulled the stats.

Ahh, that makes even more sense. I had synced my trophies last night when looking up for my latest gains on Stranger's Wrath and to check on my gold trophies. At least now my progress will look even better on the next update.

Nah, this one is a full 3D environment with a Western setting. The only thing that relates to the 2D games is that bird sound you occasionally hear. Even without the Mudokons and Sligs, the Oddworld feel isn't missing and I can accept it for taking place on an entirely different part of the world away from Rupturefarms, Necrum and such.

You will want to keep an eye out on the HD remake for Abe's Oddysee. Yeah, I know it's HD remake this and HD remake that now but if the first game is going to have a huge update with trophies, I will play that game to death until there are no more trophies left. I can't see why they won't release this on PSN.

Depends if the game is any good. I won't hunt down every single PS3 game for the sake of more trophies, just games I want to play along with earning trophies from them. Right now, I've been making decent progress on Rayman Origins but beating all the time trials won't be an easy task at all and will make me think the gold/platinum relic runs for Crash Bandicoot 3 weren't that bad. Not only that, there is getting medallions for all the levels and that one will be quite a task as well. I'll probably leave some of the trophies for the time being and move onto another game after playing it for so long. I didn't catch the platinum trophy for Skyrim in the end since I felt I burned out that game enough.

I'd recommend mini ninjas and how to train your dragon. Really really easy plats, and the gameplay was really fun in mini ninjas.

Just got myself the platinum trophy for inFamous 2. Didn't get a lot of trophies before that though because the last couple of trophies always take the longest I suppose. But it's good to be done with that. I'm going to download inFamous: Festival of Blood sometime as well when I get some money on my PSN.

Fairly easy. Some trophies can get pretty tedious though. It's pretty much on the same level as inFamous 1 though. If you do get the game and plan on platinuming it though, I suggest doing your complete play-through (doing all side-missions and collecting and whatnot) second. Because there's one trophy about getting powers and if you complete the game a second time with the opposite karma, you'll get a reward bonus which you'll most likely need for purchasing all the powers.

I am... Eventually. But considering I'm a teen with no money, I'm going to have to wait for my parents to get me one. I barely ever ask of anything from my parents, so they shouldn't be too reluctant to buy one for me. But it might take a while.
