Apple+Shift+4. Click and drag. Setting it as your BG should be sooo easy that even your mom can do it when she's being banged by two blacks.

Take a pic in Photobooth.

Click on the blue/gray apple in the top left hand corner.

Go to System Preferences.

Go to Desktop/Screensaver.

Look through the folders until you find "Photo Booth"

Find picture from step 1 and click save.

But you might want to do it in tile, the other settings distort it.
