These little emotions or emotes on the forums have been with us for a while and I come across many threads and see pages completely without anyone using a emote. Which leads me to ask, do you really use these emotions/emotes? Do you think these serve a purpose? How do you feel about the emotes?

Yes, I tend to pick the most appropriate emoticon for each post.
I tell myself I'll use them while writing my post, but I end up forgetting.

I tend to use 'THREAD MOODS' a lot. Usually the kissy face and blush face because that's just how I am. Now sad face to show off how stupid I feel.

My latest posts say that I haven't used them in a while. I used to use them more frequently though. :\
No not really. It's not that I'm dead inside, it's just that i forget about them and so I rarely use them. Although I do think that they are very funny, especially the little sunglasses one...

Actually I never use them, unless I just happen to think about them. Which is rare. But I think I use them more often when I write blog posts because I tend to be more cautious when I do so.

At times, when I feel like it. When my mood is really out there. Right now, my mood is mellow...so I aints gonna use one for this post.
