how about stop troolling and come back when you do something like this.

why would i waste my time building a tower for my comp when i have a perfectly functional up to date comp beside me. It just seems silly to me.
Yes it may be fun but if i were to do something id make it visually pleasing, unlike your second rate representation of Arabic car.

You can basically build a computer case out of any workable object, but this is something I never thought about... I hope you don't run out of lego blocks ;)

go and look up lego's original manifesto ;) i think you will find the inventer didn't intend it to be an art form, it was a way for children to express their inner flair and creativity, without having to relate to military toys.

the patchwork thing is inkeeping with the spirit of lego, so quit bitchin.

"was a way for children to express their inner flair and creativity".................so your saying your a child??? well that makes sense then no artistic flair just a bunch of random blocks in a square shape.
Top notch, a gold star for you!!!!!!!!

I'm going to have to agree with this, but not the other stuff he said.
I know, misquoting =)

Anyway, nice work so far; I'm curious to see how it turns out =)

Also, don't fight :)

Doomsday-One, working on stuff better than preloaders. Marginally.

LOL at everyone going "IT CAN'T BE DONE" "I KNOW A LOT ABOUT CUMPYUTURZ OLOLO" "THIS IS POINTLESS" "CAN I HAVE A MOUNTAIN DEW?"
Looks awesome so far, frenchie. I thought it was going to be vertical as well, but i'm happier that it's gonna be horizontal... Always had a soft spot for horizontal PCs.

Oh in that case, it can't be done because i know more about computers than you, this is pointless and i want my mountain dew.
Either way it's gonna be full of win.

Wondering whether i should stop posting at 666 posts for a while, for shits and lulz.

They look like they're gonna be a bitch to find, they pretty much blend in with the patches!

Looks pretty cool so far though.

Awesome idea. Although you should know that the plural of Lego is Lego and it pisses me off that so many Americans (just Americans :/) refer to it as "Legos".

So far it is starting to look awesome! I can't wait to see what it will look like when it is complete.

Does it also piss you off how we say color? DIFFERENT DIALECTS OLOLOLOL

The motherboard and it's tray, and how I plan to mount it in the case.

No color does not piss me off, seeing as that is part of the American - English dialect. But "Lego" is a company name, from Denmark - thus the plural should be the same as how the Danish say it "Lego".

Danke.

I want to know how good the cooling will be. I can image just playing a game and then all of a sudden your computer overheats and your case melts, lol. A big pile of melted plastic.

But cool that you are actually making a lego case.

Response to I'm building a computer case! 2009-02-18 13:49:55

Let this be a lesson to ye: I had a malfunction in the base, the source of the fracture being a megablock, instead of using a lego brick.

Sneak peak galore!

that is awesome, how much, ill buy it from you

but i only have $19.73 and a bus ticket on me at the moment

Hmm...

The computer being put into it is nothing to brag about. However, it is being built around standardized form factors. Thus, it can fit any micro ATX motherboard into it.

If this project flourishes, I will sell it off for an appropriate price. A versatile custom case, built from legos, I think is deserving of a 300-400 price range.

Or overclocking.

Otherwise I'd give that PC case 3 months. It's not like you'll come back to report to us that your PC has overheated and killed itself right?

Oh shut the fuck up, you've said many times a shitloads of points about components and prices rendered completely null and void by the fact HE'S USING A FIVE-YEAR-OLD PC.

You said this is an old economy computer. What's the motherboard and graphics card? I'm dying to see low tech.

How much ram will it have? And I'm curious about the processor too.

Proper Use of the LEGO Trademark on a Web Site
If the LEGO trademark is used at all, it should always be used as an adjective, not as a noun. For example, say "MODELS BUILT OF LEGO BRICKS". Never say "MODELS BUILT OF LEGOs".Also, the trademark should appear in the same typeface as the surrounding text and should not be isolated or set apart from the surrounding text. In other words, the trademarks should not be emphasized or highlighted.

They're quite meticulous about this sort of thing.

Well at least that settles any debate. People who refer to them as legos really annoy me too. At least now I can have the satisfaction of knowing that they're wrong.
