Earthquake

Yesterday I experienced my first earthquake evah! I came out of the shower when suddenly the closet in our bathroom started to shake for 5 seconds. At first I thought 'What the hell is in there?!' but then I heard my brother screaming downstairs 'Aaah, everything's shaking!' and I knew 'Holy shit, it is an earthquake...'

4,5 on the Richter scale. Not bad if you ask me. I'm still waiting for the aftershock. :)

On monday I will be starting my life as a working man. I'm out of school and this is my first legit job from 9-5. It's scary!

Update:

I found my old-glitchy adapter, and I think I'll be temporarily using it, as I fear it will glitch again in the future and no longer be usable, like the replacement after it.

Pro-Tip for MacBook users: don't get those refurbished replacements you find online! My old one lasted me 'round 3 years, and the refurbished one, barely lasted a year and a half.

You can actually train your vocal chords to tighten up a lot, and with enough practice get a ridiculous range. I can't hit anything like either of those guys linked, but I'll sing in the car and have gotten to where I can hold high notes for a while... and alter my embouchure to change the timbre of my voice as well.

Modulating your chest cavity by tightening your diaphragm and thus decreasing your resonance is another thing you can do to help with that. Going up into falsetto, then going as high as you can while still keeping the resonance down, and then coming down and maintaining a low pitch while staying in falsetto helps to develop a more natural sound to it.

I think i have a good chest voice and a decent falsetto for zero vocal training, I just cant transition between the two for shit. You should post a vid of you singing falsetto :D
