Big Red's got money to spend!!

Skip to the end if you're lazy. I finally sold my keyboard (Roland Juno G). It was just too big a learning curve for me, and I know how to do most of what a Juno G can do on Ableton so having a workstation just wasn't worth it.

Now, first of all, I need a midi controller. 49 or 61 keys is fine. I want weighted keys and that's the most important thing, I want to be able to play this thing dynamically. I also would like after touch and plenty of assignable knobs and sliders. I've heard a lot about the M-Audio keyboards and that seems to be where I'm leaning right now. Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on a midi controller? Also, I play piano so I'm not yet into any other more creative midi controllers.

I then have a little money left over to spend. ($500) Right now I'm recording with a shure condenser mic and a Zoom s2t recording interface.

Here is something I produced with that set up:

1. I'm would like to buy a midi controller (specs above), what do you recommend?
3. I have $500 dollars to spend on audio equipment, what is the most effective thing to buy?

well I think I will break the stream of debates and arguments with a question.

How would I go about being a voice talent for someone, and would I need a better Mic than this one that came with my laptop?

I know about mics peaking and also the "SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" problem but I would think this Built in one would be able to deal with just voice acting

I think i may be committing a sin against man kind... I'm in the works of a D n' B Mix of "I Want You" By The Beatles, and i'm doing most of the work from memory, and it sounds almost nothing like the original song, with maybe a few similarities lol Nut i actually blame Bjra for his Madness Day entry since part of the song reminded me of it and i wanted to tab it out, and now it's becoming a monster... No doubt there will be some angry listeners out there when i actually post it xD

Sorry, that last statement was more directed at nobuo's senseless fans than nobuo. Dunno, when it comes to music it's always overzealous fans that ruin it for me. I'd honestly love the Beatles but every time someone mentions them I have play devils advocate. Someone will say "oh, but they were so influential" or "they made the industry." FUCK THAT. Bach did it first and before him it was some cave man named gorg.

rant >:(

It's time for another Good idea/Bad idea.
Good idea:
Having a doctor properly abort the baby.
Bad idea:
Having Doctor Beat abort your baby.

When ever I open my Fruity Loops , I giggle.

It's near impossible to make a song with this background, but I love it.

Holy busy

You know I thought that with being in school and everything I'd have some free time on my hands. Apparently not. I'm taking 6 classes, hanging out with the girlfriend, and partying... I've been so damn busy it's crazy...

The next week or so I have 6 exams and 2 papers so I'm pretty much tied down for the moment.

As for Newgrounds, I'm still around. I check the audio threads here and there.
I miss you guys

OMG guys

I got a job. I started working as a 'cabling guy' or whatever you'd call it yesterday. It basically involves putting up new connection for telephony/ADSL. I work with another guy (who actually knows what he's doing), and we pull the big cables into position and connect them up to these big connection blocks.

It's a pretty rad, but tiring job. Sucky that I'm not allowed to take any photos in there. Another sucky thing is that I've got to get up far too early and that I currently have a mean cold.

Oh well, at least I'm finally making monies.

Prepare for more of me missing the post in the weekly tops thread. lol.
