I'm going to watch the Cowboy Bebop movie while watching it, ignoring the actual movie. I'll pretend that I'm watching a well-made anime adaption, not something that will make me suffer.

Honestly that's the part that worries me the most of this film is that Fox is behind this. Keanu Reeves can pull of a great film if the material is good enough but Fox had a terrible year and ever since Tom Rothman has been in charge its been one fuck up to another film wise...

I dunno, Keanu Reeves films are guilty pleasures of mine. I think Fox would ruin it, but Keanu can pull it off if the content he's given is brilliant.

I heard this a long time ago, I can't really say whether or not he would be good for the part. It seems like anime movies have become a fad, they're also supposed to make a live-action Akira movie.
