Yeah, that's what I heard. My brother's got an account, but he never really bothered much with the community and he hardly comes on here now. You're pretty much the only user I recognise from Perth. A perth meet up would more likely than not just be a "hey, what are you doing this afternoon" type of thing, lol.

No, another as in "There's one meet-up in Melbourne there should be ANOTHER meet-up in Sydney".

If you really want a meet-up and you're from Sydney, you should either;
A) Make the drive 2 minutes down the road to Melbourne, you lazy fucks.
B) Stop bitching about how there should be a Sydney meet-up and actually plan a large one months in advance.
C) Eat a lemon. You're too lazy to go, so stop being sour about it and be sour about the lemon.
D) Stay at home. If you can't make the drive down to Melbourne, you're probably too young to drive, and too young to be meeting strange people from the internet.

Sure, call me a hypocrite, since I obviously want a meet-up in Perth, but it's all about distance. If I were in Sydney, I probably would go to a Melbourne meet-up.

NG Melbourne Meet-up - UPDATE

The details have been finalized and set. We (LS and I) apologise for the (almost) last minute nature of the meet-up. We will bump this tomorrow, since we doubt anyone will see this now. The details are just so that they're set in concrete here.

Alright. Here's where and when it's going down:

Date: 11am, 14th January, 2009
Location for Meet-up: Outside 'Flinders Street Station'

The Plan
Right now, we don't have much of a clue what we'll be doing exactly. We know that we will party-up at the Station, then proceed to the nearby KFC (or McDonalds, or whatever the fuck we vote on) for lunch. We'll be organising a schedule over the next few days up till the eve of the meet-up, when the plans will be finalised, but for now, only lunch upon arrival is for certain.

We will be taking new applicants up until Tuesday 13th, Midnight BBS time. Any later applicants will be rejected, unless you just rock up before we leave Flinders St. This meet-up is last-minute enough without those wanting to turn up signing up as well the day before it happens.

We look forward to seeing you at the first Melbourne NG meet-up in a while.

11:30AM - We head to a local cafe for drinks and socialising.
12PM - We decide on lunch; there are enough restaurants in the area for us to pick something, we'll work it out.

12:30PM - We head down to the Crown Entertainment Complex for whatever entertainment that goes down there. Apparently there is bowling, so we'll go down there. Adults may also gamble at their leasure, while others can bowl and shit like that.

I do drive, and work, as a matter of fact. Last time I checked, I live a good 7-8 hour drive to the nearest capital city, and oh so much further from that capital city to the NEXT one. You're lucky, you've got everything layed out at your feet.

I'll say it again, if you want a meet in Sydney that suits you, then set it up yourself, don't bitch and moan and bring down the Melbourne meet. Lochie's had the initiative to get together a last-minute meet, keep your mouth shut or do something for Sydney.
