One of the new features (I could be castrated for even mentioning this) that are going to be implemented into the BBS is the ability to select some text and then click Bold, Italic, Underline, Link, Mailto links and then have that text dealt with accordingly (rather than have to click the links and then input text and then it be bolded or whatever). We should probably think about dribbling that stuff into the current design, but whatever.

I know that a lot of sites offer WYSIWYG (which is great for easy deployment) functionality already, but that sort of thing leaves all sorts of over-bloated code issues.

Anyway, keep discussing the sig stuff here. Read through all the posts first, though.

Oh, and that's not the only thing we'll be adding with respect to the re-design and the forums. Just something to whet your appetites.

Eh, I don't really see too much of a need for that anyway. You can use ALT-codes to get like, X^2 when you need it. I'm on a mac right now, so I'm not sure how to pop it up. Draac.com has a list of special characters that can be copied and pasted too.

Well, I admit, it's not something that would be used often, like bold, underline, italic, links, etc. are, but there's been several occasions where the situation warranted super or subscript beyond the ¹, ², and ³ available using ALT+0XXX. Never hurts to ask, I guess.
