it pissed off seeing over rated artist's on the audio portal. but one artist in particular really gets on my nerves. and that's dimrain47. has anyone been to his audio page?? he has like 10 diamond songs and there not even THAT good. definently not get enough to like 100000000 downloads in my opnion..

No actually the majority of the people who post on this forum are far underrated when compared to dimrain47, Draze, ParagonX9 etc.
Of course, you should just be enjoying some music here and if something is not worth your attention, just steer clear of it. I'm telling you: checking out the audio pages of the frequenters of this forum will give you a lot more satisfaction :)

Yeh I see what you mean, i mean, ParagonX9 is a talented guy i'll give you that. But his name carries so much weight now, people just download and give 5 PURELY because it's his work. If he ever made a crap song i bet it would still go diamond. Doesn't really give anoyone a chance. Also you get the obsessive fans who vote everyone else low so their favourite artist can get to the top of the charts

Dimrain isn't fake, you can tell a self downloader by compairing the amount of reviews. However here is the answer to his popularity...
His music is SO easy to put into flash movies, that flash artists use a lot of his stuff. Hence the people watching these flash movies check out his page, and naturally get introduced to the AP via Dimrain. Hence a fresh standard in rating, or in otherwords he gets all 5s. (The same goes for ParagonX9)
So if you want to be popular, just get yourself in a big pile of flash submissions.
And there'll always be crazy fans downloading a song some 1000 times, thinking they're doing something good. And there will always be the 0 voters, who occasionaly download a very popular song some 2000 times to make people think the submissions author is a self downloader, hence: have other browsing artists retailate with 0s.
So yup, theres a whole world in that little download button :)

That's what good music is - opinion. Some music is so good that it matches the opinion of many, but then some isn't that good but SOME like it.
I don't understand how anyone can like Death Metal but hey, some like it so I won't complain, not many people understand me liking The Chieftains.

Ok, so go onto his page and un-download his tracks 100,000,000 times.
Rage is alright. I'm just not into that fast paced techno at 220 bpm. I disagree that Paragon is overrated. His production skills are amazing, although there are lot's of artists that deserve an audio page like Paragon. As for Dimrain, he uses club default 1? Wtf.

For the record, I did not say that Paragon and the other artists I mentioned are overrated. In fact, overrated is a term that makes no sense - deeming something overrated implies that you know and are able to represent all the individual opinions of the world, or that your opinion is the only valid option.
To that analogy, the word "underrated" which I did use is corrupt also, so apologies :)
I just meant that there are a lot of talented people here who deserve more attention than they're currently getting. Pretty old news :)

all of these artists are very overrated in my opinion, i hear better music than theirs everytime i switch on the radio. They are all just copies of something else, boring and unoriginal, i challenge anyone to give me a reason against choosing these artists, i have many more i would like to critisize, but these are the most noticable ones.

Well that's cool but you got to understand that it's not very clear whether you know what you're talking about. I can sorta see where you're coming from, but if you really want your opinion to be valued (and why else would you make the effort of posting it) you'll have to elaborate more than just saying "copies of something else, boring and unoriginal".
It's not the artists who annoy me, they're all very talented and deserve all the praise they get, getting praised for your work inspires you to make more. It's people who obsess over these particular artists and vote everyone else low so their favourite artist can have the top spot. It makes it harder for the other artists to get a look in
