Probably. Safari causes the most problems for us out of every other browser.

Oops - I meant MacOS Big Sur (11) / Safari 14+.

That's due to the rollout of a new image format. You need MacOS 14+ for that to work in Safari. You should also be able to use Chrome or FF for now if you can't upgrade MacOS.

What browser / OS? I wonder if you're using a browser that doesn't support webp images which were rolled out not long ago.

I'd remove all the Newgrounds domains from the list. Some of them are incorrect like "wwwnewgrounds.com" and probably not needed anyway.

Then I believe all you can do is use Chrome/FF. :(

What OS / browser are you using? Old MacOS/Safari doesn't support webp. Big Sur / Safari 14 does.

What version of MacOS and Safari are you using? I tested on Big Sur / Safari 14 and webp works. I'm betting you're on an older version of MacOS with and older Safari in which case about all you can do is switch to FF or Chrome. ☹

I would maybe start by changing from tab to something else like enter. Tab is used to switch between elements on a webpage so when I hit tab the focus exits the game.

Try flushing your browser cache.

Here's a way to mass delete messages one page at a time (yes it's a pain but it's all we have right now).

Go to https://www.newgrounds.com/pm/sentbox. Click on "Manage Messages":

That will pop open the option to select all and delete.

Please run this test and report back the results. It's probably due to your location relative to the site. There isn't much we can do about that unfortunately.

My guess is that you're pretty far away from the site so that will limit your download speeds. Unfortunately this is a limitation beyond our control.

Couple things going on. One issue we fixed.

@Aprime - your inbox is full so I couldn't PM you. Snek is broken on Brave and possibly other browsers. Session storage isn't available by default in Brave, Chrome Incognito mode, and probably other browsers with security extensions. The game breaks on this line:

    var session = sessionStorage.getItem("snake");

I've tested the site on all sorts of mobile and desktop browsers and don't get this. The only time I've seen this is on super old OSes / browsers so if you're running a super old version of Android or something that could be the issue.

I would just learn JS. It's really not that hard to do if you already know Python.
