All Sonic 3 sound driver, except for the drums, which are actual 80s drums. You'll hear covers like this a lot sooner on my YouTube channel due to not needing to license them for upload there. If you really like my content, I would appreciate support via Patreon.

Enjoy!

this is something

Without a doubt, there's definitely an 80's arcade vibe going on in this song. You composed this from a Sonic game driver? Interesting! The mix and rhythm aren't out of place. It's got a nice groove.

I recommend you try a remix version. I suggest a synth to go with that funky 80's keyboard bass to enter in around the second and third time the chorus comes around.

I didn't remember hearing the original, so I checked out the music video on YT. Taylor Dayne's big curly hair with the bangs was definitely a popular hairstyle in the 80's. :) You want to know something else interesting about this era, besides the music, the fashion style, shows, movies, and games? The slang. I remember looking the slang terms up and sharing them with a friend at high school in 2002, for a play that he had written the script for. Some of the lines were on the corny side, and that's part of what made the project fun. ("This is the best chicken I've ever tasted. It's totally tubular!" LOL.)

Tell it to my Donk.
