That's a darn good interpretation on this song. Totally loved it. But the song gives me a taste of the Royal British Navy, I guess it's because the beat and accent use of the words sound somewhat epic and majestic. It won't hurt to have an electric guitar line and add more woodwind. But those things don't make this song bad. I rate music based on how they sound, since you didn't say it's your interpretation on the original song. Good job.
Thanks for the comments! as usual, i appreciate that people have spent so long review my piece of work,
Same crap as the other people said
Needs more bass
however you get a 10 because i Love Pirates of the Caribbean
hehe, thanks! :o)
I like it
It may be beating a dead horse but... I think bringing out the drums and the base a bit would do a lot for it. Trumpets would probably be nice too. You could experiment with some guitars taking a lead in part of it or just adding more background. : / Just my take. But I like the way you rewrote it.
Thanks for the comment. Hmmm....maybe replacing some of the strings with an electric guitar may be a nice idea...!
Good song, ok retake
It needs some trumpet or something, the deeper sounding instruments. It doesn't have enough substance, its too much bells and whistles rather than substance. The thing from the movie has power, it envelopes you and doesn't let go, this on the other hand might make you like to whistle it a but but it doesn't capture the essence of the song. Good try though, as my predecessors have said, it lacks "umph" I'll give it this 8/10 for a good try on one of the best songs I know. Don't take offense, please, this is meant to be constructive.
No offense taken! i'm actually quite happy that someone spent so long typing this up. 8/10 is still a fantastic score, so yeah, i'll bear in mind what you said, and make sure future pieces contian them.
i think the umph their looking for comes from the bass which doesn't seem to be loud enough but other than that its good
That's a good idea. I'll see if i can turn up the bass, and repost this song. Thanks for the comment.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
