This one had a great turnout and some history behind it. Newgrounds had recently went through an update that raised the maximum file capacity upload from 4MB to 8MB, which allowed me up to 8:30 of material per song. Of course, I would take immediate advantage. I wanted to give this one somewhat of a gimmick. The Aquatic Ruins always reminded me of some ancient Roman architecture and culture. I wanted to match that feel with orchestral instruments and a slower tempo. Added some more complex chords. Added some bells and xylophones for a bit of a touch. Still some volume problems but they weren’t too bad.

and the ''add to favourites, vote 5 and download'' rambage continues, good work here. (the only downside here that i don't really like is that this is not really fast song, but lets look at the bright side. this could have turned out really bad if you had made this a lot faster so don't even try to chance this song or i'l be kicking your sorry-ass :D )

Naw, i tried to make it fast. Didn't work. Besides I like the slow feel for Aquatic Ruins. It's just the right feel for the level.

it is epic, but not too epic. i loved how you took your time with the beginning, slowly ending the intro then leaving only a single instrument to play for a bit (to me, it builds up, get me anticipated for what will hit), then you hit it all at once. it's truly a great style to create music. i hope to see similar styles with your newer songs when they come out.
That's not a bad idea either . . . only problem is that there aren't many songs that can work with this style, though I am devising one for Sonic 2 Wing Fortress . . . maybe I should get this down before I forget . . .
Anyway, thanks for the review, and you'll probably see something with this same style again

Doesn't have the right feeling
For a level with water, ancient ruins, loop-de-loops, and bright colors. The tempo, instrumentation doesn't work for Aquatic Ruins, maybe this style would work more for the later levels of Sonic 2, rather than an upbeat early level.
