The sentinel of kindness, the incorruptible soul, has been twisted into an unspeakable horror by the darkness set in motion. The girl who was once unable to do a single unkind thing now takes the deepest pleasure in the demise of others. She builds armies of incredible size, just to pit them against each other and laugh as they fall at each others' hands. Fluttershy, embodiment of good nature itself, has fallen by the hands of her darker half: Athena, goddess of destruction, war, and pain. With the main group now smaller than ever, it is up to her inner good side to bring back the light. But all good things must come to an end eventually...

Worked on this one for a week or so, spending more time on it than I have any of my other songs. Now that the NGUAC is over for me, I can now post my pieces as soon as I finish them. Until the next contest, of course, in which I will (most likely) happily enter again.

For this one, I focused mainly on sound design, but as I am relatively new to both music theory and mixing/mastering, it's still the work of a rookie. I do believe this is my best yet, and from recent reviews on Dark Rarity, I've increased the volume of the percussion slightly. Second song in The Dark Side EP.

Used FL Studio for all of this.
