You should make sure to put in some sort of variation, "retro music" is what I'm assuming you mean by songs from the 80's, and 70's. To see some excellent examples, try listening to "Fly like an eagle", "Take on me", "Down under", and check out a group founded in 1976 called "Tangerine Dream" for some inspiration. I wouldn't mind contributing either, but do take the time to explore a bit.

A collab with Diamondcat101 we made last year, never really got around to uploading it anywhere...
This was made in Garageband, and we used built-in samples for the risers. thats pretty much all samples we used.
First part we both made together, first drop he made. we both made the post 1st-drop, and i made the pre 2nd-drop. i also made the 2nd drop, and i finished the song. i really liked dubstep (it was my favourite genre at the time) so my drop was kinda dubsteppy i guess. my parts of the song arent really perfect, because this was my first time ever making something in a software aside from beepbox or bosca ceoil (i was really just learning to use bosca at the time, and had never heard of beep, heh)
