Like the Return to Forever feeling.
Day 7: Now this is quite a step out of my comfort zone. I've never written anything with a pseudo-fusion flair to it, and a lot of elements in here are things I don't deal with very often (soloing, ugh). I do love this kind of music though! Choosing to use synths was difficult and I fought the choice to do it for a few hours before giving in.
I would definitely like to come back and clean this one up. A lot of stuff is just unfinished or temporary placeholders, aside from the melodies of course. It'll be a while before I can look at it again, but I could probably make it a bit longer and maybe just turn it into a non-looping song.
Hope you like it!

Oh man, Return to Forever is great! Really appreciate the comparison!
How nice! Dude, I have a question: WHY I CAN'T UPDATE FROM CUBASE 1 TO A NEWER VERSION??? I am stuck in the first version.
~~~
That you also took place in the 21 days of VGM sounds wonderful. As wonderful as your songs!!!
Well done. And nice drums...
Lovely track. Like everything I hear from you!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it! Regarding your question, that is something I've never heard of before. I was on Cubase 5 back in 2012 so I'm not even sure how old Cubase 1 is. I'm not even aware if it's possible to still get that version, so I have no clue what the solution to that problem would be. I will say, for Steinberg, upgrades are NOT free. You have to pay for each new version of Cubase, whether it's a 0.5 update or a full 1.0 overhaul. I still run 9.0 because I don't want to pay for an update I don't need. Try checking to see if you own one of the newer versions of the program on Steinberg's website - you'll need your e-licenser in order to get anything working as well. I'd recommend asking your question to the Steinberg team if you haven't already. Maybe they can help clarify a bit. Without more details it's hard to say exactly.
Love this dude! The use of latin and funk influences really create a unique feel to this track. I'd love to see you extend and work more on this, I think with more time this could really be great!
Nice to see you hop on NG! I'm glad you like it, I don't feel like I often do something very unique so I'm definitely hoping to give this one some more attention! It was a lot of fun to write this much :)
This is epic sauce
Hehe thanks!
Hey, this is very nice! I like it, it has funk with a mix of jazz mixed in it, 5 stars from me! Reminds me of something you hear in the 1970's. Tell me what you think of my latest track too, thanks!
Thanks, man! One of my family members said the same about the 70's feeling, haha. I think I really enjoy certain elements of that decade and just subconsciously pulled them up. I definitely like good funk and enjoy more jazz ideas being brought into other kinds of music. And sure thing, I'll take a listen!
