Inadequate Relief

Author Comments

Track 4 of Aphelion. This track represents the stage where challenges continue to come, and you continue to have less and less ability to handle them well. This is the difficulty before the crash. My first attempt at a DnB track, and it's a little different than regular DnB. A little more drum n melody than drum n bass xD This track went through more revisions than I can count - I went through tons of endings and middle parts over the course of several months before I finally settled on what you hear. It was a painful production process, but I'm proud to say I finished the track.

Produced using FL Studio Mobile. Mastered in FL Studio 12. The album can also be streamed or purchased at the following links:

Composition is nice. It's well put together.
My main gripe is that the drums are getting lost in the mix.
They should be big and brash and in your face!
If you beef up the drums, I will give you a 5.
If you would like some help with the beefing up of the drums, let me know.

I appreciate the review! I'd love some specifics concerning the drums - is it a general gain issue (volume too low)? Is the problem with one specific drum (kick, snare, etc.) or with all of them? Are there sections of the song where they are clear enough, but are muddied up in others? Is that muddiness in certain frequency ranges (3kHz, 300 mHz, etc.)? That helps me know what to watch out for and improve upon.

Amazing, I love the part at 0:44 :D

Stargame responds:

Thanks a ton! I greatly appreciate it!

Really great track, the progression is really enjoyable and the vibe is awesome. Really felt the energy.

Amazing song, the more you listen, the better it gets

Stargame responds:

Big compliment, that! Thank you!
