I love how you used that hard industrial lead. And those drums are pure awesome. A bit repetitive for dnb but good nontheless. The bark-ish hoover fx is really cheap, I don't like it at all. It takes up too much place in the song. Oh cool, you put in a supersaw... that empty thing you're doing doesn't work too well, but it doesn't destroy the track much at all. The last part with a mayhem of drums is my favourite part, you should really have continued on from there.
Jeez, you must be talented xD
I know you used samples, but wow, second song!!?!? Those drums were so amazing! Can you pm a link or something, so I can slice them :]
Oh yeah, first bass was a bit thin, you want nice fat grudgey bass, like the one around 2:30, but HARDER :]
Very very awesome :P
For a first song...
its quite amazing! the drums are of course Amen and an unknown drum for me. they are a little quiet over the synths and basses you have. also, what VST do you use for the basses and other effects, they are awesome. if this is a full version of fl you're using, id be willing to collaborate and help you out.
A review for you..
As your new I thought i'd review. This track isn't bad but I wouldn't go as far to say it's my favourite song. The drums are execelent, so I really really hope that you didn't just find a loop to use and that your created these drum for drum.
In terms of melody, it's good but it it does get a little repetitive. This isn't always a bad thing, but i think towards the end it needs a change.
I like what you've done with the synths, but I personally found a few of them a little tinny. Your bass line is nice but perhaps not bassy enough...
All in all this is a decent drum and bass song, and you've certainly got the potential to write some cracking music!
Keep composing, Jimbobsthebest
Hey thanks for the review.
Unfortunately, yes I did use loops that I found on the internet.
And I'm not saying that that is necessarily a bad thing to do but I understand where you're coming from.
If I could find a drum kit I would be set for life. But I don't have a drum machine to do these things with. So for now, I'm using loops I find on the net.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
