LYRICS:

Why lie?

I'm just the kind of guy

Whose mind wanders through hell's half acre, embossed

Giving a peace of mind up for lost.

Masterpiece, Disaster,

Piece of my mind (Given up for lost)

Procrastinate, fade faster,

Be left behind.

With brushes and paints

I'm leaving a trace

Of everything you love

Everything you love to hate.

CHORUS:

Don't. Don't hold me back.

Your stifling, your squandering

Has never stopped me from wandering

Don't. Don't hold me back

Not until I cut to black.

Why lie?

I'm just the kind of guy

Who sees the world from different angles.

Tried so hard to live by your example,

But all I see

Is a parody

Of everything you wanted

Everything you wanted to be.

Haunted by wanting more,

Futile to find (life without a cost).

Carefully make believe,

Make a beeline.

Hi
This is the best thing (no, not fair; my favourite thing at this moment) i have heard on newgrounds since i have been back.
I listened 7/8 times just to be sure before i left a comment although it might be the drugs...
I am not going to micro analyse it here but it appeals in many ways.
I wonder if you know how good this is and how certain subtleties sit in my brain right now prolly not. Why lie?
Not by any stretch perfectly executed but doesn't that add to an authentic charm?
Thanks
Px
