It's got a good beat, great for dancing.
Warning: this track was meant to simulate the mindset and environment of an amateur producer from the ca. 2011 era of electronic music. Please keep that in mind while judging, as some production pitfalls are intentional.
… Now how should I start talking about this track? Idk lol xd
I’ve done some fandom-related tracks in the past, all of them pretty trash tbh. But my inspiration to make these tracks in the first place was because of the one fandom: the MLP fandom. It has an active music scene like no other, and many artists like TheLivingTombstone, EliMonty, and SilvaHound started there.
The amount of quality, depth, and diversity of music that the pony fandom has to offer is stunning. We have pony pop, pony dubstep, pony rock, pony gabber, pony powernoise—name any genre and you can probably find a pony-related track in it. And not all of these tracks are remixes—the imost popular tracks from this fandom are fully original creations.
I’ve been secretly involved with this fandom since 2012, and now is the time I pay a little tribute to it in musical form! Some pony hardstyle artists have envisioned a crossover concept between the almighty hairstyle festival Defqon.1 and ponies, but never have I found an anthem made for this fictional event per Q-Dance tradition. So I’ve made it my goal to develop anthems for every year of this fandom up to now, starting with its inception at 2011.
Since I wanted to be as authentic to the time as possible, I decided to touch up on music from the 2010-2013 era of both pony and hard dance to get a feel of the vibe and quality of the era. As many pony artists were just starting their careers at this time (compare one of TLT’s earliest pony tracks to now and you’ll notice a quality difference), I decided that this track wasn’t going to be as rigorous and fine-tuned as my other releases, so I allowed myself to cut some corners and make a few deliberate mistakes that I otherwise wouldn’t do. If you’re wondering why I asked about it on Reddit and Discord, this is what your “advice” was for!
I also restricted myself to software that was popular at the time, or emulations thereof. That means FL Studio using mostly stock effects and samples. Since Massive was popular as a synth but I didn’t own it, I used a downsampled Serum instead. Effects were mostly stock plugins + CamelCrusher (which had just become free at the time).
I wanted to use some pony vocals but I went with some personal vocals instead because I want this track to be up on Newgrounds, sorry about that
Anyways, that’s it for my rambling about my history with the fandom and what went into this track, so without further ado let’s get this party started already!

Nice energetic track, this just gave me a boost of motivation!
I like the shift between the repetitive beat based and the more melody and harmony based sections.
It's a bit of a grindy track early on. Kind of robotic sounding but I don't mean monotone or repetetive, just industrial sound. I like how you have some short pauses, a lot of producers don't put any pauses in their music. The part at 1:03 to 1:54 is a bit too long imo but picks up after. Good job avoiding clipping while making the track sound loud! I like how it sounds like a cross between chiptune and modern in some parts. No issues with the ending, great job... 5/5
