High passed classical guitar and mandolin for the high bits, some custom Yamaha CS voices for all the synth parts and a really filtered drum machine.
Kinda far from a note for note/beat for beat cover, but I didn't really want try to copy the iconic-ly bizarre psychadelic sound of the original.
