I decided to change up my tryout piece for NGUAC since Opener wasn't good enough. This time, I did a lot of fixes to a lot of things, including the sound design, mixing, and the overall arrangement. Can't not say I'm really proud of this one!

I put a lot more effort into this this time, finding the right drums and mixing them up well. I went with the quirky style I went with Opener, with a little bit more effort into the chords so that they don't seem off.

I can't really say a lot about this track, other than the fact that it took me seven sleepless nights and eight days of depression to work on this from start to finish. I think I captured the emotions I was going for yet again, and for that I'm happy that I managed to produce again.

With that said, here is my new submission for the NGUAC tryouts. Feedback is always appreciated. Enjoy, and good luck!

P.S. I'd like to keep this untagged because yes

you never disappoint ;)

I like the catchy riffs at the beginning - almost sounds jazzy in a way. It could use a little more percussion to move it along towards the beginning, but I’m really enjoying the crisp hats at :38 and the sense of climax up to that point. The progression is a bit slow-paced at times, and I would’ve liked to hear a tad more harmonic depth early on. The drop at 1:35 was cool, and had some fun melodic variations to boot. Some of the synths you used in there sounded a bit cheesy, notably the harmonies at 1:18, but the smooth pads during the breakdown at 2:15 are really nice. There’s a tad too much reverb in the texture at some points, notably 3:15, which makes the mix sound a bit distorted and indistinct. There was a good sense of build-up into 3:50, and I like how you mimicked the first drop in the section at 4:10. Overall, this is strong work! Most of my concerns are with the sound design and mixing, but the composition is really good. Keep at it, Farah2017! ^_^

Pretty good piece of work for a beginner producer ^^
Pretty sure you can be considered as an experimented producer now, it's way better than what I make in terms of structure and creativity :)

I think it's a pretty good piece! Though, it's a bit too mellow for a song named "Remorse". Nevertheless, it's nice and easy to the ears.

at 1:37 -yes!! Your time was well spent. Great production quality throughout. It would have been nice to hear another instrument added towards the end part, to highlight the climax, but otherwise good composition.
