If I just listen to the song on its own, it doesn't fit the "nighttime New Year beach party" vibe. However, If I imagine the scene of a romantic kiss around a beach-side bonfire, fireworks, bright lights, and dancing to this song played live, it fits perfectly.
I think that's the reason I won't give this 5 stars; a lot is left to the listener's imagination. I think the biggest issues that gets in the way of the vibe you are going for is the mixing and the instrumentation. When I think beach party I think big sound to match the environment, and based on that I don't think you went far enough.
Still, I think overall you did a nice job with this.
