This is my remix of Grievous Lady by Team Grimoire and Laur. I'm really proud of how this turned out. It's not my first time with dubstep-esque growls, but it's the first time they actually sound good haha. I hope everyone enjoys~

check out the original artists as well, they make absolutely amazing music!

I really love how you kept close to the Original, but "warped" it in interesting ways. Especially the drop blew me away, because I was expecting something similar to the original.

Shpeepee responds:

This one is really bad compared to my newer songs. I think you'd like them a lot more ;)

I actually just finished an original one in a style similar to Camellia's

I like the ominous drone at the beginning and the somber piano at :09. The progression is really nice in the first 30 seconds, with a lot of creative harmonic details, especially the chromatic movement of the string line. The sweep at :36 was a little cliche, but I like the injection of intensity at :37 and the rhythmic content at :56. The instruments at :56 sound a bit harsh in the mix, and you might consider taking some treble off of the lead there. Still, the drums are really cool there, and all of this melodrama contrasts nicely with the tranquil piano at 1:37. You start to overuse the sweeps during this middle section, but I like how the second main climax of the piece (2:08) was harmonically distinct from the first one. During that section, I wanted the drums to be a bit more up-front in the mix, and I also would’ve liked to hear a proper outro to the piece. That said, you have me sold on the frantic energy, progression, mood and atmosphere, rhythmic content, and compositional details. Aspects of the mastering and sound design might need a little tweaking, but this is still a really strong piece. Keep at it, Shpeepee! ^_^

Shpeepee responds:

I know the mixing was a bit trashy. Not my proudest work ngl. I'm still getting better though: check out my newest track (also a remix, yes I'm very original, I know).

nyom nyom

the sound design is kinda lacking tbh, but it's not too bad

add a little more low end next time and overly compress it, especially for this type of genre

4/5, cool

Oh yes finally a grievous lady remix
