Terminal Velocity [Instr. Single Ver.]

Video format: https://youtu.be/OlkjChGoRLQ

This is the final version of the demo I released a few months ago and I have settled on the story I want to tell with it. It's shorter, more to the point, was mostly re-recorded and completely re mixed and re mastered from scratch.

The story is inspired by my favourite works of fiction and a classic game I loved on the PlayStation 2. Check out the video for more info (description).

Precipice chapter 2: Terminal Velocity.

Our one last chance to hit them where it hurts before it's too late. The AI is ready to repulse us from Earth, our home. They are developing new technologies which already outpace our own.

Glorious speeches, great fanfare, popular politicians and famous pilots, all ready to go to war when, to our utter shock, the machines strike first, destroying our greatest cities in one huge uprising. Thus begins the 'war' for survival; with our escape form Earth.

The last bastion of humanity, Mars Colony Beta, still hangs in the sky, far away from the turmoil.

The riffs in this song are very powerful and melodic, as are the keyboards. I can tell that your tracks in this one are mixed better than they were in your demo, as they sound much clearer and louder than they did previously. I also like the complexity of your song structure. It helps make your transitions more fluid and your instruments melt together in a good way. There are a few downsides to that however, as for the most part the element of surprise is lacking (Apart from the transition into the solo at 1:42). Much of the song is predictable, so I'd say if you included more of things that are either really impressive or unexpected, you could definitely increase your wow factor and take your listeners by surprise. Some examples may be introducing a new instrument, having a big boost or reduction in tempo, inserting a key change, or even just going nuts with something you've never done before. The variation is definitely better than it was in your previous track, but I still think you could done something like breaking down the synth melodies just a little bit more, as they're very repetitive.

Besides all of that, your audio quality is as good as always and many cool compositional ideas are definitely present. Very great work on this track! There are several noticeable improvements that you've made. Keep up it up!

well fucking god damn dude. Those fucking synths are nuts. Good to see your still at it. Super fucking epic sounding. Too good for this site haha

Thank you, you're too kind. There are amazing things on this site though!
