Chaoz Fantasy (16-Bit)

I really did it this time. It has the sound of the Model 1 SEGA Genesis. I dunno if I got dyslexic or what, but I somehow ended up with only 4 FM channels instead of 5. But by the time I realized that, it already sounded too good for me to want to go back. So I left it alone, the PSGs carrying the melody and the hi hats. I know I already made a "SEGA Genesis version" of this, but it was subpar at best. The MIDI sequence I used was literally only half done, so this time around I took time to figure out the rest of it. I also changed key to C# minor (as opposed to the original's B minor), just as ParagonX9 did for the 8-bit version. I spent longer on this than I thought I would, I hope you appreciate the effort.

ParagonX9, please come back. We miss you.

Also, trap version next.

0:20 that is some awesome Tom Drum FX. Are they reversed or gated?? That was cool!
I prefered the other Chaoz Fantasy you did, but this one is still incredible. The half-time drum breakdowns really help sell it.

SethScrotum responds:

Tom drums are run through RYM2612 via audio routing, turning it into a Megadrive DAC emulation. I used automation to pan the drums, since panning is not a part of the RYM2612 plugin. The SEGA Genesis was definitely capable of it, though. Hydrocity Zone Act 1 in Sonic 3 is a great example of this.

I can't describe how this sounds using any language on Earth.

Came here to drop 5s. Interesting how SEGA Genesis makes this ... relaxing. But also stressful. Am confusion.

This ain't bad; Not bad at all
