cuphead vibes ngl
Some big band jazz. There are obvious Sing Sing Sing influences. Originally I set out to do some cuphead-type stuff, but the harmonies and orchestrational style are a bit too modern. I am a failure.

Flattering, but I've a ways to go before I can reach the epic levels of that score. That pyramid level is especially amazing.
I am think Cab Calloway and a chase scene in a cartoon. Very nice. Keep up the awesome. :)
I like the groovy sax riffs and bass-y toms. The brass hits really give the piece a grounded quality, serving as a launching pad for the fun solos throughout. The middle section is nice too, although I think the balance may be a tad off there. I wanted the funky descending line at 1:33 to be way stronger somehow - I felt like it was meant as a display of swagger as far as the instruments can represent characters, but it was too self-conscious a display to really captivate my attention (this is a weird analogue and it's late at night here, okay?). That said, the transition into the refrain at 2:07 was flawless, and the constant barrage of smooth melodic riffs really has me sold. Fantastic work overall - cohesive, fun, well-mastered, flowing, catchy, even nostalgic in a way. Love it, SFW! ^_^
cuphead :O
very good job, is an amazing song :D
Very interesting. I could see this as a level in Cuphead.
It's got a hustle-and-bustle vibe to it; makes me imagine moving really quickly in a bar from an era when jazz was in the mainstream.
I wish you put in your description what your thought process was like when you made this, That way I can judge the piece based on how well I thought your intent came across rather than strictly my own taste. If you add this info the description, I may change my rating.
For example: Why is it called Drop Point? What's the story behind that?
The mixing is well done, and overall I think you did a great job. :)
