Your speakers aren't going bad, I just decided to record the lowest of lo-fi-- I used my SP-202 sampler and recorded the beat into a small handheld voice recorder, then played that in front of a USB microphone. Complicated, I know, but I was looking for a sound. I think this almost sounds as if it's being played through an old answering machine or something of the like. Enjoy.
