This song is about a race that takes place in a fictional desert road with sections of the road engulfed in wildfires. It's supposed to be an exhilarating experience racing through the fires, but I understand how serious and consequential being in those fires and the loss of life that results from it saddens me greatly. The Australia Wildfires had become intense after I had started writing this song, a tribute to Saki Kaskas, a composer who worked on the early NFS soundtracks that had passed away tragically a few years ago. I wanted to release this after the fires stopped, but I think that now is an appropriate time. Please donate/Support Australia.
