This is the third track from my album 'Heartbeat' which I also named 'Heartbeat'.

To me, this was the standout track for the album. The constant feeling of tension I ended up I think works quite well. Admittedly, the mixing in the second half of the song could have used some work, but the melodies are strong enough, imo, to make up for that. I especially like the main melody at the beginning of the song. The four measure one with eighth notes in each of the first two beats of each measure, with each repetition increasing the length between each beat by an eighth. Not only does it tie back to the theme of the song, but it's simple and effectively eerie. Since I ended up satisfied enough with this one I named it the same name as the album, as it was the most creative piece on it, in my opinion.
